I muscled through this day as those around me lost heart. This was the day I stayed home from the lake for, the day my presence was required to hold us on course. I expect there will be more to come. The house is quiet with Gus gone, Jake and Tucker content with each other. After dinner Gus called to say he's having fun. Then I put a call through to the lake and caught them just sitting down to dinner out on the porch of the new house. Being stalwart as I am, I promptly burst into tears.
